New York Veterans Day Parade 2014 Description

Every Nov. 11 since 1919, the New York Veterans Day Parade in New York City has honored the services of our veterans and active military members. Produced by the United War Veterans Council, the parade route spans 1.4 miles up Fifth Avenue between 26th and 56th streets. The New York Veterans Day Parade opening ceremony begins before the parade at 10am and is open to the public at the Eternal Light Monument.

The 2014 New York Veterans Day Parade is free for all ages. Spectators can view the parade along the route. Bleacher seating is available near the Review Stand by the New York Public Library. New York Veterans Day Parade participants include active officers, veteran groups, and family of veterans. A day before the parade, the Band of Pride Tribute features top high school marching bands in Times Square in honor of Veterans Week.
