It would be impossible to do an even remotely coherent round-up of all the New York parties that go down every night, because this place really is the city that never sleeps. No matter what you are looking for, be it sultry exclusive club nights, crazy underground parties, laser-filled raves, or just a fun costume party, New York will always provide.
Club parties of every possible permutation pop off all over town, with literally hundreds of options, whether it’s a Monday or a Saturday night. The very definition of the term “megaclub,” Pacha over in Hell’s Kitchen is a sprawling multilevel incarnation of Ibiza’s hottest nightspot, drawing throngs of party people looking for a total club experience and an all out dance-fest.
Those looking for even glitzier New York parties head to the Meatpacking District, where more mega-clubs abound along with plenty of ridiculously exclusive smaller underground parties as well.
Webster Hall is another signature spot to get in on some NYC madness, and this multilevel space has shown a chameleon-like ability to transform from dance hall to live music venue or from hip-hop hangout to salsa palace.
Those who want to booze it up and swim enjoy plenty of options too, as New York has a nice selection of fun pool parties going on! The Bar at Grace Hotel offers a nice place to frolic even if you aren’t a hotel guest, while Soho House’s gorgeous rooftop pool can be yours so long as you’re willing to drop upwards of a grand for the privilege.
From big Hollywood-level premiere parties to gritty after-parties going down in the bowels of Brooklyn, finding a fun party in New York is about as hard as finding a New Yorker who will give you their opinion…on anything.
