The Knitting Factory Brooklyn is a concert house and comedy club that was founded in Brooklyn, New York in 1987. Specializing in a unique brand of music that caters to fans of jazz, rock, and alternative, the Knitting Factory has seen its popularity grow to one of the best places to catch a concert in New York. That success has translated into the formation of Knitting Factory Entertainment which now has additional venues in Reno, Boise, and Spokane.
The Knitting Factory originally opened in Manhattan but moved to its current location in Brooklyn in 2009. Although the older venue housed a larger crowd, the new spot has a more intimate setting with a capacity of right around 300 people. Past performances at the Knitting Factory have included such comedians as Chris Rock, Louis CK, and Robin Williams as well as musicians such as Murs, Black Dahlia Murder, and many others.
Tickets at the Knitting Factory tend to range from free shows up to around 20 dollars, making it not only one of the best but also the most affordable concert houses in New York.
