B.B. King Blues Club & Grill Live Music Venue

B.B. King Blues Club and Grill is a well-known live music venue and restaurant located in the heart of Times Square and has featured famous artists such as James Brown and the Blue Oyster Cult. The crowd here is slightly more “mature” because cover usually costs between $15-$35 and there is an additional $10 minimum per person at tables. The steep price tag ensures that you can spend a relaxing night listening to some quality live music if you’re not in the mood to spend the night standing or getting trampled by strangers. Seating at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill is first come first served so it is best to arrive at the venue early if you want to get anywhere near the front.

There is a separate bar within the restaurant called Lucille’s Grill (named after B.B. King’s famous guitar) that has live music from the New York scene every night and features no cover charge. The bi-level bar and grill features saxophone beer taps and colorful contemporary art giving it some old-school swag. Tickets for all shows at B.B. King Blues Club can be purchased online but even if the website says a show is sold out you can usually find some available at the door.
