A new addition to the East Coast scene, the New York City Craft Beer Festival opened its doors in 2012 with over seventy-five breweries offering up to 150 craft options. The event focuses on American beers and caters to the lover of microbrews and small, independent crafts.
Held in the spring in at the Lexington Avenue Armory in Manhattan, the NYC Craft Beer Festival has two sessions that bring in a total of 4,000 thirsty tasters. Visitors receive a small mug and an unlimited flow of frothy brew for a one-price ticket.
Those wanting to beat the lines and have an extra hour’s worth of drinking can buy a VIP pass to the NYC Craft Beer Festival. For the true beer lover, a “connoisseur” ticket is well worth the premium, giving buyers access to a lounge area that has perennial favorites including rare limited and seasonal offerings on tap. The best part is that you don’t have to worry about getting behind the wheel on your way home, because Manhattan’s public transportation means the city is your designated driver.
