Afropunk Festival Description

Afropunk Festival - Food & Drink Event | Music Festival | Skateboarding in New York.

Every August, music fans in New York City head to Afropunk Festival for a slew of live performances, sweet art, and even better vibes. Afropunk Festival 2013 boasts a bunch of food trucks, with past participating vendors including Pago, Toum, Morris Grilled Cheese, and Domo Taco. A Spin Thrift Market assures that hipsters and fashion pioneers have enough goods and clothes to sort through from local artists and businesses.

Afropunk Festival 2013 invites skaters to one of the largest street skate competitions in the city at a skate park with zero police officer supervision. After enjoying a slew of amazing activities, sights, and the eclectic Art Wall, Afropunk Festival guests take to Brooklyn bars, clubs, and other venues at night, making for a party that lasts into the wee hours of the night.

Afropunk Festival 2013 is free to attend and open to the public, but an RSVP is required online. Check the official event website for more info.
