Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers Description

Tom Petty

Over the course of his storied career, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Tom Petty has sold over 60 million albums, successfully managing to bridge the generational gap between parents and kids. Though he first found commercial success with 1978’s album You’re Gonna Get It! (with the help of the Heartbreakers), Tom Petty concerts are still packed today.

In addition to gaining entry into the legendary Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Petty shares a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame with the Heartbreakers, has received a Billboard Century Award for lifetime achievement, and owns a key to the city of Gainesville, Florida, where he grew up. Some of Petty’s biggest, most beloved hits include “Mary Jane’s Last Dance,” “American Girl,” “Free Fallin’,” and “I Won’t Back Down,” among others.

Tom Petty tickets sell out no matter where the talented singer/songwriter plays. After all, the performer is often mentioned in the same breath as legends like Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, and Bonnie Rait, to name a few.
