Pink Description

Pink

In 1979, Pink was born in Abington, Pennsylvania as Alecia Beth Moore. With over 40 million albums sold worldwide, Pink has more than earned her time in the spotlight as an international pop superstar. She has won three Grammy Awards and five MTV Video Music Awards. In recognition of her fame and talent, Billboard named Pink the #1 pop musician of the decade in 2009.

At only 16, Pink signed her first record deal with L.A. Reid as a part of the girl group Choice. With the debut of Can’t Take Me Home in 2000, she emerged as a bona fide solo artist.

In 2001, Pink shot to the top of the world music charts. Her popular single “Get the Party Started” off of Missundaztood, was a global party anthem and reached Platinum in both Norway and Australia. With her role on the Moulin Rouge! single “Lady Marmalade”, Pink officially joined the ranks of pop icons like Christina Aguilera and Lil’ Kim.

In 2010, Pink released her sixth studio album, The Truth About Love. The album went Platinum and shot to #5 on the US Billboard Hot 100 for three weeks, showing the staying power of this vocal powerhouse.

Tickets to see Pink live in concert almost always sell out to packed crowds ready to sing along with all the words to “Just Like a Pill” and “Don’t Let Me Get Me”.
