Party Earth Avenue Review

The Scene

A swanky multilevel space with an exclusive vibe, Avenue is an elegant hotspot on the club scene that attracts a clientele of fashionably-dressed socialites, celebs, and beautiful people.

A swanky multilevel space with an exclusive vibe, Avenue is an elegant hotspot on the club scene that attracts a clientele of fashionably-dressed socialites, celebs, and beautiful people.

Patrons admitted into the long and narrow main room with its soaring vaulted ceiling and austere oak and cork paneled walls will find an opulent turn-of-the-century décor seamlessly fused with a modern party atmosphere, as evidenced by the high-heeled models drunkenly bouncing on the Chesterfields.

High rollers, New York notables, and business types looking to indulge in bottle service settle in on the plush black leather banquettes, where drawers are already conveniently filled with glasses, limes, and mixers, while fashionistas, models, and PR girls tend to jostle for cocktails at the bar before posing and dancing the night away beneath the clever wine barrel chandeliers.

While sequined revelers go crazy on the dance floor, those who want a different perspective can clamber up the glass-railed stairs to hang out by the DJ booth in the glassed-in balcony, which becomes a tightly packed dance den later in the night, or step into the private room to lounge on tufted divans in a composed English library atmosphere.

Elite and raucous, Avenue is the perfect nightclub for anyone who wants to mingle with the beautiful people and lose themselves in an inebriated haze of glamour.

Good on Saturdays!
Melody K. Sep 22, 2013
I went here on a Saturday. It was packed, and although I would have liked it to be a little bigger, it was still a great time. I went with a promoter, so I'm not sure how hard it would be to get in otherwise. Pros: -Beautiful people from all over the world (a lot of Europeans, au pairs, etc.) -Backseat compartments on top of the benches open up to store your purse -Large bar, spacious bathrooms Cons: -Not that big, can get very crowded very easily -Only one bar all the way at the back - can be a trek to get to!

I love asian food,so some friends suggest me this Restaurant, because they said it's a bit "different" from others and.. it is!! You can often find Benihana full of people, you'd better reserve a place on time. If you need to wait for your table, you can try the sushi bar, aside, inside the restaurant,to pass the time and hunger. You sit at table, for eight, around the grill. Each table has a Grill and an acrobatic,entertainer,Show-Chef!! You choose what you like and they cook fresh food in front of you!!The only negative thing is the smell and the smoke. You can eat delicious food for like 30 $ . If you go to New York, you MUST go to Benihana!!..
Perfect People-Watching

Avenue is one of the best spots in the city to rub elbows with the beautiful people. Simply walking into its immaculately decorated space gives you a feeling of glamour and exclusivity. Its energetic enough to keep your night exciting, but not so big and loud that you can't talk to your friends or enjoy your cocktails. The music is always of-the-moment. Really, it's a great example of New York nightlife.

Probably one of the best and energetic clubs I have been to. I have been there probably three times and it never fails to impress. Always a good time, beautiful people, and great venue. The sound system is great and the size if PERFECT! Not too big but not too small; enough space for people to walk around, dance, or talk. Super clean and a well-kept place. Clubs always have a hard time keeping it up throughout the years, but Avenue has not fallen off the radar.
Avenue Review

Even though we were eleven attractive young women in the entrance at Avenue, we still had to have table reservations, thankfully we did. As you walk in, you get this celebrity vibe, exclusivity energy all around. There are only beautiful people, everybody is striking; men with multicolored fashionable bowties, women with tight bandage dresses. The ceiling is two stories high and as you go up the stairs everyone is watching you, feeling as if you’re in the red carpet at the Golden Globes. Bottles are popping every five minutes, and the DJ is guessing the precise music the public wants to hear in the moment. Avenue is undoubtedly place you go to find a distinctive sensation that will not be provided by any other club in New York, or any other place for that matter.

I love Avenue. The best thing about it is the crowd, which I think is the biggest factor in any place. The crowd is always cool and well dressed with major style. It also always has a good guy to girl ratio which is a big selling point for me. The djs are usually really good as well and the crowd actually dances, unlike many other NY clubs. The layout also isnt too bad.

Guarded by NYC famous doorman Wass Stevens who sits outside in his monogrammed directors chair, Avenue can definitely be one of the harder places to get in in NYC. Once you're in though the space is worth the wait. Although the first floor has one of the dumbest floor plans of any club in the city (great for bottle service, horrible if you're looking for somewhere to stand or dance) the times I've been there for bottle service I've always had a great time. The music is also really good although on weeknights the place is packed with promoter tables and tends to empty out early (by early I mean 3 am). I've also never been here on a night where I haven't seen at least 1 celebrity, and thankfully none of them have been Lindsay Lohan.

Certainly a great place to party with friends - and due to the proximity of your neighbor's table, you'll want to make friends with them too. Bottle service with sparklers is the norm and celebrity spotting is built in. Last time I was there, exes Rihanna and Chris Brown pretended their "reunion" was sheer coincidence. If you need a little space from the chaos of the first level, head up the steps to get a little more breathing room.
