BMW Open Tennis Tournament Description
The BMW Open is an ATP World Tour 250 series clay court tennis tournament that is played in late April to early May at the MTTC Iphitos tennis club in Munich, Germany. The tennis club features a number of clay courts, including a main center court stadium to accommodate the championship matches with a seating capacity of 5,600.
The BMW Open has a long history dating back to 1900 (when it was obviously not sponsored by the German car company) and has been held at MTTC Iphitos since 1930.
Past BMW Open winners include Nikolay Davydenko, Roger Federer, Ivan Lendl, and Roy Emerson.
