City Center, Munich –
Arrive early or reserve a table to get in the door at Sausalitos (“Sausa” to the regulars), a boisterous Mexican restaurant and bar that draws a festive tequila-loving crowd.
The colorful adobe walls and distinctly Mexican décor add to the authentic tavern vibe, as do the lime coconut fajitas and primavera salads.
Renowned for its tequila beer, fruity blended margaritas, and amazing drink specials – not to mention the table-dancing staff – the venue is very popular for both pre-club drinks and a very wild night.
Adding to the frenzy, the bar offers drink specials and Happy Hours practically all night long, so whether it’s half-price jumbo cocktails or discounted pitchers of margaritas, rowdy patrons are guaranteed to get a bang for their buck.
Sausalitos, which also features an outdoor terrace, may be one of the larger bars in town, but they manage to pack the space nightly with young and fun-loving patrons ready to show off their bar-top dance moves.
Young professionals, 20s and up.
All kinds of music. DJs on the weekends.
Mexican menu includes enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas, and nachos. The back two areas are all reserved seating, so it’s best to reserve a spot a few days in advance.
Happy Hour daily 5–8pm. Cocktails discounted 8–11pm when buying five at a time. Additional Happy Hour for all jumbo cocktails 11pm–close.
Entrées €5–€8. Beer €3.40+, cocktails €7+.
Sundays and Mondays are the only slow nights for this bar. Every other night draws a big crowd.
