Partying in Munich: The Alternative View of the City's Social Scene

In almost any big beer hall across the city, groups of people gather to talk, sing, dance, listen to traditional music, and celebrate German culture over pints of Bavarian beer.

The parks that pepper the city are equally fantastic, especially the huge Englischer Garten, which contains more than one lake and even a manmade stream that pumps out a single wave that you can actually go surfing on.

Great events like Oktoberfest and the month-long Tollwood Festival in the summer, which features live music performers from around the world, just add to the incredible and diverse scene that Munich has to offer.
