Party Earth Milch und Bar Review

The Scene

One of Munich’s trendier clubs, the small and intimate Milch und Bar (commonly called just Milchbar) can be exclusive, which is just fine by the artsy, stylish crowd that lines up at its doors every weekend.

Once inside, patrons find themselves plunged into a mod world of red – the color pervades everything from the lighting to the bar to the leather sofas – all amplified and multiplied by the numerous mirrors placed throughout.

The venue’s small size makes it hard to avoid the dance floor, so most of the flirty guests find their way there to meet and mingle before taking their conversations to a more private setting on the couches or by the bar.

With upbeat theme parties and big crowds every night, Milch und Bar promises a high-energy, fun-filled night on the town where patrons can expect to be dancing until dawn.

Super fun on lowkey nights if you're looking for a not too crowded club!

Milchbar is so much fun, I always go there while in Germany on days of the week where nothing goes on. Something always ends up happening and some of my best memories are from this club. You easily make friends and the bartenders there are the coolest, I got free drinks just for having a casual conversation with the bartender. The age range is from 18 to 25, but every night there’s usually something going on. Definitely a great place to check out if you’re feeling spontaneous and meeting people! Munich itself always has a lot going on but this is definitely a top club/bar.
Schnapps, Schnapps, Schnapps!

The first and only time I got the privilege of experiencing Milchbar, I was with my university aged German friends who described it as simply “lecker,” a word I still can’t manage to translate to anything other than “pure awesomeness.” The club was 5 Euros to get in and was filled with lively students dressed in party attire who were obviously ready to de-stress with some schnapps and weissbiers. Euro techno was pulsing through the crowded bar for most of the night, with some occasional American hits. Ladies, you will definitely want to bring your dancing shoes because that is pretty much what you do in this small venue. You drink. You dance. …Until the sun comes up. The Milchbar is not the place to go for an early night. With the seemingly harmless fruity schnapps like kirschwasser flowing freely and going for only about 5 Euros a pop, leaving this party to make the last S-Bahn train is pretty close to impossible. Never fear, Milchbar is open till 6am Thursday-Saturday. So, if you do find yourself still inebriated in the wee hours of the morning you can compete with the locals who set up camp on the red couches and pillows at the corners of the bar.
