Cigar bars in Munich are very much a part of the city’s lavish side. While selling an arm and a leg might be necessary to get in on this action, two very upscale options for Munich cigar bars are at the Hilton Munich Park Hotel and the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

The Hilton’s über-chic People’s Bar (perhaps not what Karl Marx had in mind) boasts leather armchairs, more than 150 kinds of whiskey, and a walk-in humidor. Similarly, one can mix with the global rich at the Mandarin’s Rum Club, where new club members are presented with a free cigar and whiskey storage locker.

At the lower end of the spectrum, only in comparison of course, is the Havana Club. There is no humidor and the conversation may be more about football than global domination, but the prices are reasonable, and the crowd is more welcoming.
