Beer Hall / German Restaurant
Party Earth Review Incredibly popular, and intensely dedicated to serving Paulaner beer, Wirtshaus Zur Brez’n has the look and feel of a typical Bavarian beer hall, but on a slightly smaller scale. Located in the heart of Schwabing amid trendy cafés and bars, this beer hall’s traditional charm draws a diverse and dynamic crowd that includes ... more

Beer Garden / Beer Hall
Party Earth Review What separates Augustinerkeller from all the other beer halls in Munich – at least in the minds of the locals – is its reputation for having the best brew in town served straight from the taps in the oaken barrels. On any warm day, the place is packed with regulars and visitors alike tossing back liters of beer under the ... more

Beer Garden / Beer Hall
Party Earth Review Since the Löwenbräu beer hall is located right next door to the brewery, patrons can rest assured they’re getting the freshest brew possible at Löwenbräukeller. One and all flock to Munich’s beer halls for authentic food, laid-back atmosphere, and – what else – a few fresh liters of cold beer (obviously).
Wirtshaus Zur Brez'n, located in lively Schwabing, is a fun place to toss back a few Paulaners amidst a mixed crowd of professionals, tourists, locals, and students. While it has the feel of a traditional Bavarian beer hall, the smaller scale lends a more casual air. Easygoing guests can choose a table inside or out on any of the three floors, or head to the basement for a more intimate experience.
In Maxvorstadt, popular and historic Augustinerkeller is the second largest beer garden and hall in Munich. Locals and tourists alike flock to the bar to munch on soft pretzels, toss back a few liters of beer poured straight out of tapped oak barrels, and admire the traditional Bavarian woodcarvings that adorn the walls.
Löwenbräukeller is one of the grandest beer halls in the city, decked out floor to ceiling with stone lions and checkered flags. Since the bar is right next door to the brewery, you’re guaranteed a fresh pour.
There’s certainly no shortage of charming beer halls in Munich – get out and explore, or tag along with a lederhosen-clad local.
