Party Earth Review: Bar Centrale might appear tiny and cramped from the outside, but once guests cross the threshold they find a cozy Italian joint perfectly suited for cocktails, coffee, or even a light breakfast. The black-and-white photos of Italian churches, cars, the countryside, and even Sophia Loren give the 1970s retro décor an authentic air that feels like stepping into a scene from an old movie – and that sheds some light on the fact that Munich is sometimes referred to as “Italy’s most northern city.” A small café at the front displays a mouthwatering array of pastries and lunch options, while a short walk down the narrow corridor leads to a chic lounge with white-washed walls and dark wood tables. Fashionable patrons sprawl in the lounge with their drinks for a bit of conversation or gather at the tables up front and on the sidewalk to nibble Italian pastries and sip espresso. Bar Centrale’s romantic atmosphere and wide variety of cocktails make it an intimate place for drinks and mingling before moving on to bigger party scenes.
