Munich isn’t known as the Beer Capital of the World for nothing, but its varied nightlife extends beyond renowned breweries like Spaten-Löwenbräu, Augustiner, Hofbräuhaus, and Paulaner.

Bars and clubs in Munich vary widely in taste and style, but during the day it seems that everyone heads to the numerous beer halls or beer gardens, immense establishments that much of Munich’s social life revolves around. The only downside to the endless revelry at the beer halls and beer gardens is that most shut their doors by midnight.

Fortunately, Munich doesn’t disappoint when it comes to other late-night options, and the city boasts a wide variety of chic high-end clubs, hip lounges and bars, and casual pubs that stay open late. The city also has two massive nightlife complexes in the form of Kultfabrik and Optimolwerke where diverse crowds and party scenes can be found in the more than thirty bars and clubs.
