Caja Magica, which means “The Magic Box,” is primarily a sporting venue located in Park Manzanares in Madrid, Spain. Caja Magica is also known as the Manzanares Park Tennis Center and is used for the Madrid Masters as well as other tennis matches.
The venue can seat 12,442 patrons in its main stadium and 3,500 additional patrons in Court 1 and 2,500 in Court 2. The Real Madrid basketball team used Caja Magica for its 2010-11 season, and there are plans for HRT F1, the Spanish Formula 1 team, to use the space in 2012. Caja Magica boasts an innovative mobile roof to allow for open-air or indoor events depending on weather conditions.
There are many sporting events and games at Caja Magica, including the Madrid Open. Other events and festivals at Caja Magica include art exhibits, the Space of Sound Festival, private parties, and meetings.
