Once a year in Madrid, cinephiles and fans of documentary film head to the Documenta Madrid. Documenta Madrid is an international film festival exclusively dedicated to documentary film, focused on promoting the genre as a reflection of our cultures social, economic, cultural, artistic, and environmental values and issues.
Documenta Madrid annually takes place at eight to ten venues around the city and features some of the best short and full-length films from Spain and around the world, handing out awards to both the nation and world’s best movies. In addition to Documenta Madrid’s plethora of screenings, the festival boasts presentations, round table discussions, conferences, classes, and workshops hosted and attended by prominent industry players.
Tickets for individual Documenta Madrid screenings start around € 5 and can reach as high as € 30 for different multi-screening passes.
