Great for electronic music lovers

Having lived in Madrid for a year and attended many events in Sala Marco Aldany I can definitely say that this is one of my favourite clubs both in Madrid and Europe. First of all it is located in the center of Madrid which makes it easier to walk around before or after going to the club. Second, it is a relatively big club and has two floors so even if it is completely packed, it still does not get impossible to move around or breathe. And third, as an electronic music lover, it was fairly difficult for me to find an alternative club that plays something else than commercial music and thanks god to Sala Marco Aldany, I survived! Known djs play there regularly and the prices are not flying high. It is mostly around 15 or 20€ including one or two drinks if you enter before a specific time. In a nutshell, if you are looking for an alternative club you should definitely check Sala Marco Aldany out.
For the 'Dancing Queens'

Sala Marco Aldany is only one of the many names this place has. Just to get rid of confusions about the name: actually it is called "Sala Arena" and was sponsored for years by "Heineken" and now by the Hairdresser franchise "Marco Aldany". You might hear people talking about the spot using any of those names. A ample space with high ceilings, having an industrial touch to it. Concerts during the week and electronic dance sessions on Fridays and Saturdays. As they are always changing its best to have a look on the official website (http://www.salarena.com/salamarcoaldany.html). There is an upstairs section with own bar where smaller sessions are held. The sound-sytem is not the best, but it is loud enough. The drinks can be expensive, up to 10€ for a 'copa'. That's why it is recommendable to write yourself into the list beforehand to get a 2x15€ offer. If you are into dancing the whole night long in a young, crazy and dark ambience with mad music, you should definitely check it out on the weekends.
