Located on a quaint, quiet street just outside the stone arches of Plaza Mayor, Cafeeke (Small Café) is a cozy and cheerful Belgian-owned bar that attracts an easygoing group of international and local customers in need of Belgium's finest hops.
Inside this narrow little venue, patrons either huddle at the bar to chat or make their way upstairs to the restaurant seating that's tucked below the low-hung rafters.
Aside from a smattering of antique posters for a few Belgian national beer favorites like Stella and Duvel, there isn’t much décor – but the old wooden floors, wood-beam ceilings, and little rustic tables give the space all the atmosphere its patrons seem to need.
The real draw of the bar, of course, is the wide array of taps that contain over eighty different brands of tasty Belgian beer.
Cafeeke is a great place to swing by in the early evening for a drink and some conversation with the outgoing crowd, or to stop by later when the Belgian brew begins to work its magic and the casual chitchat turns into raucous laughter and the singing of traditional drinking songs in different languages.
International students and travelers and a few friendly locals, 18 and up.
