Party Earth El Viajero Review

The Scene

Located in the heart of the historical neighborhood of La Latina, El Viajero is a three-story bar and restaurant that attracts a predominantly stylish young crowd.

The first two floors, each with its own full-service bar, provide ample space for the sea of attractive patrons that mingle to a background of playful conversation and laughter.

A variety of contemporary abstract art, plants, and tall glass-top tables make up much of the décor, while low sofas and plush chairs with funky upholstery provide a place for the smartly dressed clientele to relax, chat, and flirt.

Before the sun dips below the horizon, the bar is illuminated by several large windows that offer a lovely view of the hustle and bustle on the cobblestone streets below, but the best view is from the rooftop terrace on the third floor where plants and trees create a refreshing atmosphere in which to take a breather.

Anyone in need of a break from the stony, old-world taverns of La Latina should try El Viajero, a classy, modern place with a lively vibe perfect for whiling away the hours.

Tip from Adriana:

There’s no need to shy away from the rooftop terrace even on hot summer days. Several mist machines occasionally spritz moisture into the air, which actually makes staying on the roof more comfortable than standing with the clusters of people downstairs – and besides, the view of the Plaza is so much better from up there!

Swanky place, nice view

I went to El Viajero for dinner one night in Madrid and had a great time. The thing I loved most about it was that it had that old-world style and still felt really swanky. It is a beautiful place and just looks like a step back in time. The restaurant itself has several floors and the top floor has a terrace with a beautiful view of the city below. I had pasta for dinner at El Viajero and it was amazing. I don't remember what the rest of the group had but everyone really enjoyed their meals. It wasn't too pricey so you feel like you can have a pretty nice night out without paying a lot. It was amazing being at El Viajero during sunset.
