bc4568 Dec 3, 2012 I love First Fridays! During senior year of college, a few friends and I would go monthly and spend around $20 each sampling all of the various food trucks. That’s more than enough money to get a good meal, as we would all be nursing healthy food babies by the end of the night. The same trucks tend to congregate in the parking lot next to The Brig every month, but there are tons of other trucks that park along Abbot Kinney, so if you walk down the street there are enough options around that you can get a nice variety of good food every time. A few personal favorites are Kogi, Baby’s Badass Burgers, and The Border Grill Truck (especially their ceviche cone).
emilyj Nov 26, 2012 First Fridays is one of the greatest events that happens once a month in Venice. Although it is extremely hard to find parking since it is always super crowded, First Fridays is absolutely worth it. All the best food trucks in LA are parked in the parking lot at the Brig. Kogi is one of my favorite food trucks (Korean BBQ)-- definitely get the Kogi burrito, its absolutely incredible. The grilled cheese truck is also a must, as is CoolHaus, which is basically like Diddy Riese (ice cream sandwiches). Walk around the Brig and enjoy the evening, all the best food trucks in town are in one spot for you, so try everything!!
