Originally the Minneapolis Lakers, founded in 1947, the LA Lakers have been playing in Los Angeles since 1960 and have won 16 NBA championships while featuring a bevy of superstars such as Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kobe Bryant. In a city known for entertainment, Lakers games are events in and of themselves as the seats are often littered with A-list celebrities and athletes. Because of the glitz and glamour associated with the team, Lakers tickets are always in high demand and are usually the most expensive in the league.
