The Los Angeles Clippers are a National Basketball Association (NBA) team that plays games at the Staples Center in Downtown, Los Angeles. The stadium was built in 1999 and has a seating capacity of 19,060. The Clippers share the stadium with their Pacific Division rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. Clippers games are historically hit or miss affairs since moving from San Diego to Los Angeles in 1984. The team has the dubious reputation for being one of the worst franchises in professional sports history, however there have still been many a great player and bright spots in their past. Some of the greats to pass through Clippertown have been Bob McAdoo, Terry Cummings, Elton Brand, Dominique Wilkins, and future hall of famers Chris Paul and Blake Griffin. Clippers tickets can be easy to come by when the team is losing (often), however, when the team fields a winning squad, the city rallies behind the underdogs and sells out nearly every game.
