Long Beach Triathlon Cycling / Running / Swimming Every Year in September

Taking place every year in September, the Long Beach Triathlon is a mid-level race that’s short enough for folks relatively new to the triathlon scene but stout enough to attract some big boys as well.

The Long Beach Triathlon requires a half-mile swim, 11-mile bike ride, and finishes with a 3-mile run. Swimmers enjoy the calm waters inside the break-wall of the downtown Marina, after which they ride along Shoreline Drive, Queensway Bridge, and past the berthed Queen Mary. The final running portion follows a course adjacent to Shoreline Village and the Marina.

Long Beach Triathlon entry fees range from $110–$145 depending on when participants register. Youth and military/fire/police discounts are available. Relay teams can also compete, with prices ranging from $220–$250.
