Los Angeles Lakers

The Los Angeles Lakers currently play basketball in Downtown, Los Angeles at the Staples Center which has a seating capacity of 18,997. The Lakers are part of the Pacific Division of the Western Conference which includes other western US teams including the Los Angeles Clippers (who also play at the Staples Center). Originally the Minneapolis Lakers, founded in 1947, the LA Lakers have been playing in Los Angeles since 1960 and have won 16 NBA championships while featuring a bevy of superstars such as Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson, Shaquille O'Neal, and Kobe Bryant. In a city known for entertainment, Lakers games are events in and of themselves as the seats are often littered with A-list celebrities and athletes. Because of the glitz and glamour associated with the team, Lakers tickets are always in high demand and are usually the most expensive in the league.

Going to a Laker game at Staples Center is an unforgettable experience. Some of the greatest players in the history of the NBA like Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabar, Wilt Chamberlain, Jerry West, and of course Kobe Bryant have played for this historic franchise. From the "Showtime" days of Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul- Jabar to the dominant duo of Kobe and Shaq, all the way to their most recent back-to back championships in 2009 and 2010 the Lakers are always an entertaining team to watch. At Lakers games, not only will you get the opportunity to see top-tier future "Hall of Fame" players like Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, Steve Nash, and Pau Gasol, but when you are sitting in the seats of Staple Center watching a Laker game and you look up at the 16 Championship banners in the rafters you will truly fathom the experience of seeing one of the most storied and successful franchises in sports. The feeling in the building is very energetic and it is a great atmosphere to watch an exciting basketball game.

As a huge Lakers fan for over ten years, watching a game in Staples Center is always my dream. Although there may be some problems with the team right now, but the fun experiences I had there was still the best. It's the time when dreams come true! Starting from exhibition of the NBA all-time score leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, It's like you walk into the dreamland of basketball. After that, you can grab some food inside the Stadium and wait for the match to start. The warm up is also entertaining when you can see the all star players like Kobe, Nash, Dwight and Gasol receiving the welcome from nearly 20,000 audience. Most of the seats in the stadium have great view, so you can enjoy the match a lot. Don't forget the entertainment games during the time-out period, which will not be shown on TV but it's so fun! If you want to find a place to go in LA, watching a Lakers game in Staples Center is definitely your first choice.

You have to go to a Lakers game at least once while you are living in Los Angeles! It is fun to come and watch a game and cheer on the Lakers. If you go to a basketball game then of course you have to grab some food and drink to enjoy while watching the game. The tickets can of course be a little bit pricey but it is worth the cost at least once. It is also fun because the crow gets really into the games and it is exciting to cheer along. Not going to lie, I know almost nothing about basketball but if you are looking for a fun thing to do while you are in Los Angeles then definitely go to a game! I can guarantee that you will have a fun time!

The lakers are ridiculous now. As previous posters have listed, their line up is insane. It's crazy that they lost their season opener yesterday, it is clear that they still have a lot of work to do in learning how to play together. However, watching them you can tell there is Championship Potential there. I believe, with time they will come into full form and become a force to be reckoned with as the season progresses. Watch out Lebron and the Miami Heat, here come The Lakers.

The Lakers have always been a serious threat to opponents, but this year they should be one of the most feared teams in the NBA. With the offseason acquisitions of Steve Nash and Dwight Howard, the Lakers' offensive has become even more lethal. With Dwight Howard down low and Steve Nash at point guard, Kobe will have more opportunities to do what he does best...win games. Dwight has been compared to Shaq a lot lately, I'm not sure if its a fair comparison, but if Dwight can do the things that Shaq did for the lakers maybe we can see the end of the Kobe era be as bright as the beginning.

I have been a Laker fan for as long as I can remember. Always enjoyed Laker games from the confort of my home, on my couch, with family and friends and of-course I thought that was the ultimate. That was until I decided to give Laker game tickets to my honey as a Valentine present. Let me say that Valentine present was also a present to myself >^_^

This is the best Showtime has looked in a long time. I cannot wait for the Lakers to bring another title back to LA. With Steve Nash at the point, Kobe should see a lot more catch and shoot opportunities and the pick and roll with Pau and D12 should be nasty. Metta should also continue his lockdown defense of opposing wings. The bench is significantly improved. With Antwan Jamison, who has averaged 20+ pts before, Steve Black, Meeks, Barnes, Jordan Hill, Ebanks, Duhon, the Lakeshow could legitimately run 11 deep, and with an older team, depth is going to be so important. Can't wait for the season. Kobe about to get his 6th and reassert himself as the KING of the NBA!!!!

Title Town! Holy cr** the Lakers are going to be good this year. I cannot wait to see my first Lakers game at the Staples Center this year. Not 100% sure who the starting five will be but they also just signed Jodie Meeks and re-signed Ebanks. Nash, Kobe, Pau, Howard and Meta with Blake, Jamison, Barnes, Duhon, and Hill off the bench!!?? Who is stopping this team?

Amazing off season for the Lakers. Absolutely love the trade for Steve Nash and the deal for Howard solidified the Lakers as being back in the driver's seat for a title run. Kobe should be thrilled with management right now. The Lakers 2012 schedule is out and I can't wait for the season. Let's hope that Pau decides to come to play. Hopefully Nash will get him the ball in easy spots and his confidence will return.
