The Los Angeles Kings are a National Hockey League (NHL) team that plays games at the Staples Center in Downtown, Los Angeles. The stadium was built in 1999 and has a seating capacity of 18,118. Founded in 1967 in Los Angeles, the Kings play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference. Although not a perennial contender, Kings games are nonetheless filled with energy – especially during a winning season like their 2012 campaign when they won the Stanley Cup. Some famous Kings players include Wayne Gretzky, Luc Robitaille, Billy Smith, Paul Coffey, and Jonathan Quick. Kings tickets aren’t easy to come by during a championship run, but during the season there are always some games that don’t sell out.
