Finding great performing arts in Los Angeles is easy, especially if you’re willing to drive a little. Or maybe a lot, this is LA after all, but hey it’s worth it with so many great LA performing arts venues to choose from.
Anyone looking for great musicals hardly has to look further than the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, which brings in some of the biggest Broadway productions in town, while other major shows consistently pack The Orpheum, The Kodak Theatre, and The Ford Amphitheater all year long.
Downtown is a great place to get in on some performing arts in Los Angeles, whether it’s a hip new show at The Nokia or a classic performance at The Mark Taper and The Ahmanson, there’s never a dull moment inside these stellar performance venues and finding a few tickets last-minute is usually possible. Nothing beats a symphony at the Walt Disney Concert Hall nearby – a stunning building designed by Frank Gehry – or getting super gussied up and hitting the opera at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
Santa Monica gets in on the action with killer performing arts shows along the Santa Monica Pier, while hundreds of smaller venues all over town burst with magic acts, cabaret, drag shows, burlesque, and so much more.
What did you expect from a town known for movies and stunning celebrities? Now let’s get to finding some great performing arts in Los Angeles for you here at Party Earth!
