Summer Solstice Celebration at the Autry Description

The Summer Solstice was first celebrated by the Egyptians years and years ago. Today in Los Angeles, locals celebrate in many ways, with one of the best events being the Summer Solstice Celebration at the Autry.

Summer Solstice Celebration at the Autry 2013 is a one-night family-friendly event that teaches the cultural and symbolic significance of drums in welcoming the summer. Guests are encouraged to participate in workshops hosted by the Asian, Jewish, Latino, and Native American communities. Families make their own drumming instruments and join in a drum circle as the sun sets.

The Summer Solstice Celebration at the Autry 2013 costs $11 for adults and $5 for children. Senior and student tickets cost $7.
