KISS front-man Gene Simmons has joined forces with celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and restaurant impresario Michael Zislis to create Rocktoberfest L.A. Live, a seven-day Oktoberfest-style celebration that kicks off in mid-October.
Taking place on and around the L.A. Live complex in downtown Los Angeles, Rocktoberfest L.A. Live begins with Simmons and Puck hosting a charity gala (lots of special celebrity guests are promised), followed by a live rock band and several Puck-fied dishes to complement the variety of beers being poured.
Each succeeding day at Rocktoberfest L.A. Live will feature more grub, grog, and live bands, so would-be attendees can choose to drop in for one session or come back again and again until the event comes to a close.
This year at the 2012 Rocktoberfest, the legendary Gene Simmons, members of KISS, and surprise guests will take part in an all star jam session on KISS Army Night. Set for Thursday, October 18, the KISS Army Night is capped at 1,000 people and is sure to sell out quickly to diehard KISS fans so get your ticket early.
Each daily session at Rocktoberfest L.A. Live runs from 5–11pm, with individual tickets available for each day.
Rocktoberfest L.A. Live tickets are around $20 for general admission, which include entry and a commemorative stein. Individual beer prices vary.
Tickets for the Rocktoberfest L.A. Live charity gala are around $100, and include six vouchers redeemable for beverages and/or selections from Puck's Oktoberfest menu of small plates, the commemorative stein, and table seating (on a first-come, first-served basis).
VIP tickets to Rocktoberfest L.A. Live are around $125, and include entry, reserved seating, table service, three beverage vouchers, seated dinner, and the commemorative stein. Groups of eight can get the same benefits as the individual VIP ticket holders for $800.
Rocktoberfest L.A. Live closes out with a Craft Brew Festival, where guests can sample even more beers from 50+ breweries, as well as enjoy entertainment by The Bluebirds and a live DJ. Tickets to the final day Craft Brew Festival are $50, which includes entry, 12 drinks tickets (three-ounce pours), and a collectable tasting glass.
