JazzFest West Description

JazzFest West - Music Festival in Los Angeles.

Jazz music was created in homeless communities in the Southern United States in the early 1900s as a mix of improvisation, syncopation, polyrhythms, and blue notes. Over the years, jazz has become popular throughout the entirety of America, as well as the rest of the world, and it was so popular in the 1920s that the entire decade has since been referred to as “The Jazz Age.”

Every July right outside of Los Angeles, music fans head to JazzFest West for a one-of-a-kind music festival. JazzFest West treats its guests to two days of live performances and in the past has drawn talent like Rick Braun, Brenda Russell, Chaka Khan, Paul Taylor, Najee, and Teena Marie.

In addition to offering fantastic live performances, JazzFest West boasts a food court that features Jerk chicken, Friend Louisiana catfish, fresh baked pies, and more, giving guests a full New Orleans-style jazz experience. JazzFest West attendees can also roam around Vendor Village and shop storefronts that offer handcrafted art, hats, and clothes, among other items.

Tickets for JazzFest West start at $60 for a one-day pass and $110 for a weekend pass. JazzFest West VIP tickets normally cost $120 and $220 for one-day and weekend passes, respectively.
