Co-founded by celebs Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla in 2002, the Galbani Cheese Italian Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles has become quite the LA Italian food festival, and is held every September in Hollywood.
San Gennaro Festivals are nothing new. A similar festival, organized by Italian immigrants to honor the Patron Saint of Naples, has been held in New York since the 1920s and typically runs for ten full days.
LA’s version normally lasts three-to-four days at the end of the month, and includes a host of family-friendly activities with several live bands, cultural performances, stand-up acts, cooking classes, cooking competitions, and a whole lot of Italian food.
Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles tickets are $5 for single admission, $12 for a full individual pass (covers each day), and $60 for a family of four pass (also covers each day).
There are also several carnival rides set up during the event. Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles carnival tickets come in packets of forty (individual rides require a varying amount of tickets) and start at $20.
Feast of San Gennaro Los Angeles is located along Highland Avenue in Hollywood, with entry gates available at 1651 North Highland Avenue and 1651 North Orange Avenue.
Proceeds benefit several Los Angeles children's organizations.
