LA is full of festive people, so it makes sense it would also be full of so many great festivals. From scrumptious food festivals and farmers markets to massive music and art festivals, LA has it all.

Angelinos definitely consider themselves to be foodies, so finding a cool LA festival that involves eating is never difficult, and can range from exclusive (and pricey) high-end gastronomic events to gut-busting sausage fests, food truck parades, or specific ethnic cuisine highlights.

Music festivals in Los Angeles also abound, with great jazz, blues, folk, cajun, reggae, and even experimental music celebrated all year. Art festivals in Los Angeles are also plentiful, and everyone should make it a point to hit up the Brewery Artwalk, a twice annual open studio weekend at the world’s largest art complex near Downtown.

From Hollywood galas to cool independent film festivals from Silver Lake to Santa Monica, Los Angeles keeps its denizens busy with festivals all over town. The annual pride festival in West Hollywood is one of the biggest celebrations of gay pride in the world, but there are plenty of less fabulous festivals to enjoy as well, including Chinese New Year, St. Patrick's Day, Cinco de Mayo, Day of the Dead, and Hanukkah festivals that barely break the surface of all there is to do in this vibrant and diverse town.
