This month, Mumford & Sons visit the Hollywood Bowl for two nights of live music. Since 2007, Mumford & Sons has been mastering West London folk rock to perfection. Each band member sings and is a multiple-instrumentalist with Marcus Mumford on guitar, Ben Lovett on keys, Ted Dwane on bass, and Winston Marshall on banjo. The blend of voices and instruments make for the band’s signature harmonies on popular singles like “I Will Wait” and “The Cave”. In 2009, the debut album Sigh No More gained fans all over the UK and made it to number one in Ireland before peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 in the US.
In 2012, Mumford & Sons released their second full-length album Babel, which quickly debuted at the top of the charts in the US and UK before becoming the biggest debut for the year in the US. Since blowing up all over the world as the biggest folk rock band in ages, Mumford & Sons have been nominated for Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Rock Song. With award-winning albums, chart-topping singles, and a worldwide tour, the future of folk looks bright in the hands of Mumford & Sons.
