Improv (Irvine, CA) Information

The Improv Comedy Club, located in Irvine, California and opened in 2002, is a live venue for new comedians.

The club is part of the legendary Improv chain, founded in New York City in 1963, which now has 23 locations in the U.S.

Countless comedic superstars have performed at the Improv’s many locations. The original New York club is where a young Jay Leno first hit the stage. Dustin Hoffman would even play the piano at the club from time to time. Past performers at the Improv Comedy Club in Irvine include Bobby Slayton, Drew Carey, and Joel McHale.

The Improv is open seven nights a week, and the space is available for private and corporate events with up to 400 guests. Dinner and drinks are offered during performances with a menu of cleverly named cocktails like the Barrel of Laughs, Sex on the Stage, and Tijuana Tea Tickler.

Kristen Danhour May 15, 2013 4.0 stars Lots of Laughs I love laughing. I mean who doesn't. This is always a great place to come with friends. There are many tables inside. Often times you have to buy a drink or some form of food when inside but that is with most places. This place is so entertaining and so much fun. It is a great time with friends. The entertainers are different each night but no matter who it is, I am sure it will be a good show. The staff was friendly and the location is great. This is in the middle of the Irvine Spectrum so if you arrive early, there are plenty of things for you to do. The spectrum offers food and shopping. It is even a great place to simply walk around before the show. Additionally, when inside, the comedians might single out members of the audience to either share something or to simply talk about them. It is all in good fun and a great place.
sarahbink Nov 29, 2012 3.0 stars Good Times! This is a relatively new venue that offers a comfortable setting. The line-up changes, but each visit is certain to entertain.
