The Belasco Information

Located in downtown Los Angeles, The Belasco is a multi-purpose event and entertainment venue. Founded in 1904, the building has a long and rich history having served as a theater, burlesque venue, church, and filming location. After a grand restoration in 2011, however, the theater was transformed into the venue it is today.

The Belasco boasts a 2,500-person capacity and features a main theater, ballroom, nightclub and lounge, wine bar, and two restaurants.

With state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, regular events at the Belasco include weekly club promotions, release parties, live performances, theatrical productions, and music concerts.

Past performers at the Belasco include 2 Chains, deadmau5, and Tyga.

Paige Kim Feb 5, 2013 1.0 stars my least favorite club in LA I HATE coming to Belasco. 1. I hate how they work their guest list line. So my promoter told me that the guest list line closes at 10, so I arrived at Belasco at around 9:18. Waited in line for DAYSSSS. Got to the front of the line and the girl tells me that tickets are 20 dollars. So I explained to her that my friends and I are on the guest list so it should be free. She tells me guest list line closes at 10. I look at my phone and it says 10:02!!! I tell her that we were in line since 9:18 and she would not let us in for free. She said you have to be in the front of the line by 10 and rudely kept repeating "$20". 2. The drinks are so expensive. 3. The crowd.... Belasco, I won't be coming back.

I've been here maybe 2 or 3 times...and unfortunately I always come out thinking...why did I come here...Oh yeah...friend's B-Day...that's how much I love my friends. I would never wake up one day and say, hey let's go to Belasco! Each time I have been here the DJ's play list is so repetitive with nothing but the top 40's playing on the radio. I can just stay home and listen to the radio play the same song over and over again. Oh and also all that electro house music towards the end of the night, no thank you! It's always crowded and I can't help but get that surrounded by creepers feeling when I'm there. Seems there are a lot of youngsters here, a lot of 1st timers in the club scene. I would not recommend this place to any of my friends, because I care for them dearly.

arndthewaygrl Oct 2, 2012 2.0 stars The Belasco Came to this club last Friday on a party bus!The club bouncers were quick to get our large party into the club for an extra fee (If you catch my drift $$$$) I really didnt think that the club was all that and a bag of chips, Ive been to better spots in LA. The venue itself is pretty, the place looks well preserved, loved the balcony up top. Its a big venue, I didn't feel crowded, but maybe that was because the crowd on Fridays isn't that big???Friday nights the club draws a big crowd of the latino community, which i'm not implying is a bad thing. Friday nights the club plays top 40 hits and House music. Overall it was a fun night, I just don't know if I would go out of my way to come back to Belasco.
