King King Information

King King Hollywood is a music and performing arts venue that doubles as an eclectic nightclub. Originally located on 6th and La Brea from 1988 to 1993, it is now situated in the heart of Hollywood.

With a capacity of around 300 people, the venue provides a diverse mix of entertainment for all tastes, including musicals, operas, cabaret shows, and live performances by the best house DJs. While the décor changes with every King King event, guests can always expect to be pleasantly surprised.

Past theater performances at King King include Rock of Ages, La Vida, and Taking the Jesus Pill, while past dance/cabaret shows include Mental Head Circus, Hunky Dory, and Rouge Cabaret. The venue has also hosted concerts by Kaskade, Tortured Soul, and Miguel Migs.

On the days where there is no event, the circus-themed nightclub stays open until 4 a.m.- perfect for those who just want to dance all night.

Lauren Schiff Apr 1, 2013 4.0 stars Hit up THE FLOOR! After recently moving back down to LA, I decided I was a bit overdue for releasing some pent up dance energy. I heard about THE FLOOR improv dance night at King King, and it was DEFINITELY the time and place to do just that. Cover was $12, but a portion goes to THE FLOOR's new non-profit, OPEN FLOOR SOCIETY. The club isn't overwhelmingly big (I might even say the single room, brick, almost warehouse-esque space was surprisingly small), but the vibe, the crowd, and the music were just right. Think throw backs to classic hip hop songs mixed with the perfect beats to dance to, people from every walk of life, and everyone smiling and having a blast. Dance circles open up on the packed dance floor every now and then, and folks take their turns getting really down. All sorts of styles are not only accepted, but encouraged (as one can tell for the mass amounts of cheering that arise in support the variety of solo- or pair- improv dancers). If you're looking for a good time, with solid drinks, great beats, and a really fun crowd, this is something to absolutely check out.

Jasmine McGee Jan 4, 2013 4.0 stars Where House Music Lives in LA Moving to LA from DC, I had been on the hunt for some good house music. I'm not talking about dance or club music, but I'm talking about house from DJs around the world that speaks to your mind, body, and soul. And at King King, I found out that this is where house music lives in LA. This is one of the most chill clubs I've been to in Hollywood and it's a great atmosphere with amazing down to earth people that come to hear great DJs from all over. The bartenders are super chill and they enjoy groovin' to the sounds of house, and you can always find a nice corner to chill in or spot on the floor to get down and dance your heart out! If you want to experience the house scene that LA has, then King King is the prime place to be! They always have great events and once, sometimes twice a month, Marquest Wyatt is spinning at an event called DEEP. Trust me, it will change your life! Oh and unlike most clubs in Hollywood that close at 2am, this goes until 4am. House music all night long until the break of dawn!
