Cocktail Bars in Beverly Hills Overview

Porta Via - American Restaurant | Bar | Bistro | Italian Restaurant in Beverly Hills, LA

Beverly Hills cocktail bars are the best bet for anyone looking to imbibe in this swanky Los Angeles hood. Just get ready to pay a pretty penny.

Typically located in the Golden Triangle, a shopping district that includes the famous Rodeo Drive, these chic booze establishments tend to fill up with Prada-shoe wearing, Gucci-handbag holding ladies, and dudes in Brooks Brothers attire with perfectly-coiffed hair. Ages may range, however, considering the high percentage of local cougars and older, professional men who frequent Beverly Hills’ drinking hotspots.

Most Beverly Hills cocktail bars are found in the newer hotels that line the sparkling Golden Triangle streets. At the Montage, for example, specialty cocktails are available at all of the hotel’s dining establishments: Scarpetta, The Conservatory Grill, ParQ Bar, and £10. The same goes for other fancy Golden Triangle hotels like The Peninsula, Beverly Wilshire, Luxe Rodeo Drive, and the Thompson (where one can enjoy a cocktail while taking in the view at the rooftop bar).

Understandably, wandering into a hotel for cocktails may be off-putting. Those who want to stick to a simple establishment at street level have the always-reliable Nic’s Martini Lounge, also in the Golden Triangle. But younger ladies should prepare themselves for gaggles of older guys to hit on them. Hopefully a free drink will come out of it.

For a lively drinking scene where people dress to impress, cocktail bars in Beverly Hills are a great place to spend big and sip in style.
