Party Earth Vintage Enoteca Review

The Scene

Vintage Enoteca in Hollywood, Los Angeles is a casual & romantic wine bar with good eats & boutique wines. Pop your cork in LA with Party Earth.

With a motto like “In wine we trust,” it’s hardly a coincidence that patrons stepping off busy Sunset and into Vintage Enoteca can find a cool escape from the Hollywood scenester scene: The bottles are the stars at this bar.

The venue’s booze selection centers on boutique producers, and though most folks wouldn’t call the drink prices cheap, savvy sippers will still find plenty of rarer options to sample that don’t necessitate a bank loan.

The weekday Happy Hour and its selection of half-off dishes attracts a classy but relaxed crowd of locals, when area business types join flannel-clad creatives and young families on the street-side patio to chat over Pinots and plates of cheese, deviled eggs, and savory panini.

Small and minimally decorated, the space features a few old photographs and a modest liquor cabinet that dress up the otherwise bare white walls, while two rows of candlelit high-tops are ideal for couples on a successful first date…and probably awkwardly tight for couples on a bad one.

Not everybody sticks to wine thanks to a modest but curated list of craft beers and ciders, and the vino always takes a backseat on weekends when groups of friends pile in for brunch and bottomless pitchers of fresh blackberry sangria.

An unpretentious haunt perfect for unwinding at the end of the day or sipping to the morning sun, Vintage Enoteca is a cozy neighborhood spot that mellow modern drinkers should definitely take adVintage of.

Great Outdoor Patio!
Jocelyn T. Jul 17, 2013
This place was a little hard to find, because it’s a small oasis amongst liquor stores and commercial shops on Sunset Blvd. It’s a small and narrow restaurant, and the décor inside is simple and somewhat stark. But, they have a great patio area in front with about 4-5 tables that have comfortable pillow-lined benches. I’m not sure if I would like to dine inside, but the outdoor area is lovely if you can snag a table. The casual and relaxing atmosphere makes this place great for a girl’s night to catch up over wine, or an intimate date. The service here is what really stands out. Our server was not only very knowledgeable about their wine selection, but she allowed us to taste several wines before deciding on a delicious cab blend. We ate tapas-style, and spilt several plates all of which were fab! The crab macaroni and cheese was my favorite (and I’m a mac n’ cheese connoisseur). It was rich, and had a thickness to the sharp full-bodied sauce. The pieces of sweet crab meat mixed in were the perfect accompaniment. With a bottle of wine, a variety of tapas, and tip, our bill was a little pricy ($120 total), but I wouldn’t hesitate going back for a special night out!
Great Wine and Food on Sunset

I stumbled into this place on a rainy Saturday afternoon. The waiter let me try a few wines before I settled on a Washington State pinot noir. I was pleased to see that they offer brunch; not many wine bars do. (Since I was already into my red wine, I had to pass on the blueberry-lavender mimosa--- but I won't do that again!) I had a tasty chicken pesto panini with a refreshing and crisp mixed green salad. The textures were on point too--- can't go wrong with buttery avocado! I loved the attentiveness of the waitstaff. They seemed to really enjoy working there. I can see why a lot of people want to keep this place for themselves!
Local wine bars are the BEST...

what this place lacks in decor, it makes up for with service and people. Try and get there on a busy night--ask for one of the two new york transplants that run the place and nestle in. Heres what i will say--is this the place you want to drive from silverlake to check out for the night? Perhaps not. BUT is this the place that literally everyone within a walking and/or five minute driving distance should make a weekly stop?! YES! Such a great laid back vibe to stop in for a bite with the one you love.
