The 2013 USC Bar Guide!

Jan 22, 2013 —  Founded in 1880, USC is the oldest private university in California, and remains one of the most sought-after schools in the country for students seeking business, law, social work, and entertainment-related degrees.

Yet while these kids clearly know how to work hard, they also know how to play, virtually taking over a number of nearby bars whenever their packed academic calendar allows it.

The easiest choice is undoubtedly Traditions, seeing as this bar and restaurant is actually on campus. More commonly called “Traddies,” the basement den draws a big crowd daily for Happy Hour – and is probably in danger of collapsing during Trojan games.

Equally popular is the 901 Bar & Grill (“The 9-0”), home base since 1947 for some of the best college memories no one ever remembers and a mecca for Trojan fans and anybody reveling in the madness of nearby Greek Row.

Italian wine bar Bacaro LA classes things up a bit with its delectable tapas and hearty selection of vino, though regular USC birthday gatherings and other collegiate events can promise a high-energy scene here as well, especially come Fridays.
