Clapham Common Concert Venue / Park

Clapham Common is an open grassland park spanning about 220 acres in the south of London, England. The Common has been an important part of the community for over 1,000 years.

Clapham Common offers a vast scenic space for a variety of recreational and leisurely activities. The park encompasses three historical ponds and one paddling pond. In short, Clapham Common is the perfect place for a daytime stroll or a couple hours of lounging on the grass in the afternoon sun.

Clapham Common also functions as a large-scale entertainment venue. Events at Clapham Common include the massive annual South West Four Music Festival, Colourscape Music Festival, and Lesbian and Gay Pride festivals.

To promote the upkeep of Clapham Common, a group of community-driven Londoners founded an association called Friends of Clapham Common. This community group has been exceptionally beneficial for the preservation and improvement of the park.

Right in the center of the Common is the Clapham bandstand, which happens to be the largest bandstand in all of London.
