Home to the Reading Football Club and the London Irish rugby union club, Madejski Stadium is located in Reading, Berkshire. The 24,161-capacity stadium was built in 1998, and it has a shiny gloss that sets it apart from the many historical football stadiums in the country.
Each of the four stands has concourse refreshments including pies and pints, and the East Stand contains a jazz cafe. The two-tiered West Stand, which holds a restaurant, fan megastore, and executive suites, is connected to the luxury Millennium Madejski Hotel. The fan store at Madejski Stadium is open daily and does not require admission to a match. Visiting-team fans sit in the South Stand for Reading games. During London Irish games, the East Stand features a constant ruckus from its resident East Stand Drummers banging their drums.
Adult ticket at Madejski Stadium hover around £25 for Reading games and £20 for London Irish games, with a small mark-up for match-day purchases. The stadium is connected to the Reading train station by a bus service.
