West Ham United FC is a professional football club that plays matches at Boleyn Ground in Upton Park, London. The stadium was built in 1904 and has a seating capacity of 35,016 for West Ham United FC matches. The Hammers (as they’re sometimes called) first started scoring goals in 1895 (then as the Thames Ironworks F.C.), changed their name to West Ham in 1900, and currently plays in the English Premier League (EPL), England’s top football league. Pitted against the other EPL powerhouses, the Hammers don’t have an illustrious history, though they’ve still managed to secure multiple FA Cups. Some notable West Ham players include Kevin Nolan, Mark Noble, Frédéric Piquionne, Carlton Cole, Bobby Moore, Joe Cole, and Tommy Randall. Hammers tickets aren’t terribly hard to get, though if they’re playing some of the top EPL teams, the stadium can fill up quickly.
