Surrey County Cricket Club

Surrey County Cricket Club, sometimes referred to as the Surrey Lions, is a professional cricket team that plays matches at The Oval in Kennington, in the London Borough of Lambeth. The stadium was opened in 1845 and has a seating capacity of 23,500 for Surrey Lions games. Surrey County first started taking wickets back in 1845 as well and over its long history, the Lions have won nearly 20 County Championships, in addition to multiple Benson & Hedges Cups and other prestigious tournaments. Notable Surrey Lions players include Kevin Pietersen, Dirk Nannes, Mark Ramprakash, and Adam Hollioake. Surrey Lions tickets are usually easy to come by unless they’re playing their bitter rival Middlesex.
