Party Earth Navajo Joe Review

The Scene

Navajo Joe in London’s Covent Garden is a Southwestern joint with loud tunes, tons of tequila, & a big party scene. Spice up your London night with Party Earth.

The name may not be the most politically correct out there, but funky-chic bar and restaurant Navajo Joe isn’t big on proper behavior anyway.

The owners have amalgamated all things with even a hint of south of the Mason-Dixon line flavor into the multi-level former warehouse space, forming a collection that includes stylized paintings of Native Americans, murals of bald eagles and Campbell’s soup, traditional Mexican bric-a-brac, and futuristic metal sculptures of animal skulls.

The mostly Tex-Mex menu is dominated by quesadillas, burritos, and chimichangas, with a few Creole twists like Cajun crab cakes and veggie gumbo thrown in, while the drinks list purports to have the largest collection of tequila, mescals, and rums in London.

Pre-theater groups and a heavy tourist contingent mix with trendy area workers during the 2-for-1 Happy Hour that takes place daily from 4 to 6:30pm. Much of the venue’s extensive hooch selection goes into margaritas, especially for the young party crowd that descends into the basement bar named Joe's later for house DJs who spin funky lounge beats most nights.

Connoisseurs more interested in sipping and chatting than raging and flirting can hang out in the main restaurant space upstairs, which features a stunning backlit marble bar, sleek tables, exposed brick and steel-on-glass wall panels, and a balcony with additional seating.

Either for a quick sip before a show or an easy excuse to spice up the night, Navajo Joe keeps Covent Garden’s clock perpetually set to Cocktail Hour.

Came here last weekend with some friends - great atmosphere and the best cocktails around! Luckily we got the last part of the Happy Hour which have great deals! The food was really tasty, different sort of food that you would find around London and the service was always with a smile. I would definately go again - great night out!
