G Live (Guildford, UK) Concert Venue

A state-of-the-art venue built in 2011, G Live brings a wide range of events to Guildford. The building’s contemporary, glassy front previews its airy interior, boasting reclaimed and recycled building materials throughout. Up to 1,700 people can attend an event that uses the most spacious of various flexible seating arrangements in the main hall. Combinations of seating and standing room fill two rows of stalls and a dress circle. A 100-seat studio space accommodates smaller performances at G Live, and a variety of seminar and reception rooms allows for conventions and exhibitions.

Unsurprisingly, the meticulously-planned building has excellent acoustic design. Classical and pop music, stand-up comedy, musical theater, and children’s performances fill the docket.

Bistro-type food is served in the foyer, and full bars are located on each level. The foyer café is open for lunch Monday through Saturday, even for visitors who are not attending a show. Drinks can be pre-ordered for performance intervals. Tickets at G Live are handled through the venue’s website and the foyer box office. The National Rail’s London Road Station is a 3-minute walk away, and parking is available.
