Battersea Power Station Concert Venue / Event Space

Industrial chic is the draw at this unique central London event venue. The 38-acre site was once a coal-burning plant, supplying 20% of London’s power in the 1930s. It was decommissioned in the 1980s and has recently started its new life as a location for music festivals, glittery parties, and TV and fashion shoots. The stadium grounds can host events for up to 15,000 attendees. Big events at Battersea Power Station such as the Red Bull World Tour and the Relentless Freeze skiing and snowboarding festival have occupied the venue’s showground recently.

Besides its substantial outdoor space, Battersea includes indoor rental venues, most notably the Boiler Room. This 1,000-person capacity space hosts A-list events, fashion shows, and other society parties. A smaller space, The View, provides views of the historic power station to a crowd of up to 375.

Battersea’s identity is still in flux, as developers hope to increase commerce and retail space within it, but its role as a unique event venue will surely be a part of it.
