A bongo player jamming by the bar and the cool beats of funky house music contribute to a lively atmosphere, while the dark and moody lighting and sleek, minimalist décor create a stylish vibe.

In the back, a more tranquil area and a few cordoned-off private tables offer a more intimate environment for the well-heeled, sophisticated, and attractive clientele that doesn’t think twice about the price list.

Popular as an early evening hangout before the ultra-cool guests head to Chelsea’s fashionable nightspots, the bar’s inviting vibe draws customers to the plush sofas to sip sublime cocktails, or to the elegant dining area where a gorgeous wait staff caters to their every need.

Far from subdued, Eclipse is usually loud and grows only more vivacious as the sultry crowd revs up to carry the party on into the early morning.

The lounge has a similar feel to Boujis, which is owned by the same group, but while Boujis’ “in” status has slipped a bit with the fickle club crowd, Eclipse and its famous watermelon martinis remain as popular as ever.
