Party Earth Graphic Review

The Scene

Graphic in London’s Soho is a cool art gallery/bar with amazing gin cocktails. Find your unique night out in London with Party Earth.

It’s hard to tell which “graphic” Graphic is referring to when patrons first enter this too-cool-for-school gin bar on Golden Square.

Ever-rotating art makes the distinction difficult. Perhaps it’s the shop shutters mounted inside, each painted in vibrant letters in stark contrast to the minimalist gray paint, bare bulbs, and hardwood floor that make up much of the space.

The shutters have been replaced with new works? Okay, maybe it’s the art projections onto the rear brick wall, which features creative and random displays that showcase loops of everything from ultrasounds to the streets of London.

But then what about the 3D glasses on the low tables – those were there last time – which enable drinkers to marvel at the three-dimensional graphic designs scattered throughout?

Regardless of what it is exactly, this mod contemporary art gallery-meets-bar is busy nightly with trendy designers and other creative types who work in the area, as well as savvy tourists and Soho scenesters looking for a unique night out.

Offering more than 180 types of gin, the venue’s drinks list is rife with classic cocktails, though festive birthday groups usually take advantage of the £30 gin punches that serve four to six people and come in large paint cans.

Delicious, albeit a tad difficult to pour.

A small menu includes sliders, salads, and a few grill options, but most of the snazzy regulars are here to drink and shout beneath the loud DJ who spins Thursday through Saturday nights.

Novel and decadent, Graphic is a pleasure in all its dimensions.

Tip from Jonah:

Graphic has a nice little breakfast menu if you want to grab a coffee and a light bite and check out the art. But if you’re a gin lover, ask about their Juniper Society, which regularly hosts gin tastings and other gin education events. The events are all first-come, first-served and always free!

  • Crowd

Affluent Soho hipsters, trendy design and other creative industry types, contemporary art fans, gin lovers, birthday groups, mid-20s to early thirties.

  • Entertainment / Music

DJs spin loud mixes of funk, boogie, disco, deep soulful house, and lots of old-school/new-school party grooves from 7pm Thursdays and Fridays, and 8pm Saturdays.

Art installations change every six to eight months.

  • Food / Miscellaneous

A menu of bar snacks, grilled entrées, and shareable platters available. Small breakfast menu also served early in the day.

    Free Wi-Fi.

  • Prices

Breakfast boards £4–£7.50, salads and sides £4, grill items £6.50, sharing boards £15.50, sliders £10.50/three.

    Beer £4–£6, wine £4.50–£6.50/glass or £17.50–£35/bottle, cocktails £8.50–£16, punch in a paint can £30.

  • What to Wear / Dress Code

Smart and sexy: large eyeglasses, blazers, skinny jeans, knit sweaters, mod dresses, clunky jewelry, oversized scarves.

  • Hot Nights / When to Go

Thursdays through Saturdays for a little DJ and a lot of gin.

  • Close By

Zenna (77 Dean Street) is a calmer but still trendy basement Soho spot that features a selection of Indian-inspired cocktails, including one drink so hot that patrons have to sign a waiver before drinking it.
